About the service

VEYAN collects road and travel information for people driving in Norway and presents it in one place, in several European languages. You enter where you are going and see what may affect the drive: closures, convoy driving, landslide risk, accidents, roadworks, flooding, difficult weather, ferry disruptions and delays.

Made by a Norwegian team that drives these roads regularly.

Updated from open national and local sources: Statens vegvesen, MET Norway, NVE, ferry operators and local news.

Where the information comes from

Official road data comes from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. Local news alerts are only shown where an agreement and technical access exist; until then the service shows official data and clearly labelled demonstration content.

What the service does not do

  • It does not replace official warnings or emergency instructions.
  • It does not invent detours; only detours reported by the source are shown.
  • It does not guarantee that every incident is registered or up to date.

Always check official sources and adapt your driving to the conditions.
